Mission:
Our Mission is to provide leadership in the field of children's mental health in order to address the unique needs of children and youth with emotional, behavioral or mental disorders. We support the rights of full citizenship, support and access to service based in our community for our children and families by providing information and support to families as well as advocacy and other services needed by children and youth with emotional, behavioral or mental disorders and their families. To support and strngthen children, adolescents, and their families so they can achieve their highest level of competency and community involvement

Description:
Through a family and youth-driven approach, children and youth with emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs and their families obtain necessary supports and services so that children grow up healthy and able to maximize their potential. The essence of our organization exists in our human spirit – the spirit and passion of those that serve and the spirit and determination of those who accept our services. We are dedicated to raising awareness of our cause and serving those in need.

Organization role:
• Provide family to family or youth to youth support on an individual family or youth level (e.g., peer-to-peer, family support partners, parent navigators)
• Sponsor/run support groups for families or youth
• Provide education to families or youth on issues of interest
• Provide training and mentoring of family members or youth (e.g., to assume leadership roles, act as provider)
• Provide training and presentations to system of care/child serving agencies or community
• Provide technical assistance (e.g., to other family or youth organizations, child serving agencies)
• Recruit family members or youth for positions within child serving agencies
• Participate in child serving system/system of care policy-making and leadership groups
• Participate in child serving system/system of care management meetings
• Provide quality monitoring and evaluation
• Provide advocacy
• Conduct research
• Conduct social marketing

• A local family-run chapter of a national or statewide organization
• A local youth-guided organization without national or statewide affiliation
• A family-run or youth-guided organization with a current or past affiliation with a System of Care Community of the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children and Their Families Program (i.e., CMHS System of Care grant site)
