Mission:
NAMI of Hamilton County is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness through education, support, and advocacy.

Description:
We offer Basics, a 6-session course for parents and other primary caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illness. We also offer Ending the Silence and Parents and Teachers as Allies. Ending the Silence is a 50-minute presentation for middle and high school students designed to initiate conversation about mental illness and offer resources for support. Parents and Teachers as Allies is a two-hour in-service program designed to help parents and teachers recognize the early signs of mental illness in children and adolescents and encourage early treatment. We also offer support groups for family members, as well as educational programs for the general public.
