Mission:
Youth M.O.V.E. Montana will work as a diverse collective to unite the voices and causes of youth while raising awareness around youth issues. We will advocate for youth rights and voice in mental health and the other systems that serve them, for the purpose of empowering youth to be equal partners in the process of change.

Description:
Youth M.O.V.E Montana is a youth led state-wide organization devoted to improving services and systems that support positive growth and development by uniting the voices of individuals who have lived experience in various systems including (and not limited to) mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare. We advocate for youth to utilize their power and expertise to foster change in their communities and in their own lives. Youth coordinate and participate in activities that raise awareness to important youth issues, fight stigma, normalize youth challenges, provide support, promote creativity, improve leadership skills, and strengthen communities.

Organization role:
• Provide family to family or youth to youth support on an individual family or youth level (e.g., peer-to-peer, family support partners, parent navigators)
• Sponsor/run support groups for families or youth
• Provide education to families or youth on issues of interest
• Provide training and mentoring of family members or youth (e.g., to assume leadership roles, act as provider)
• Organize conferences
• Provide quality monitoring and evaluation
• Provide advocacy

• A family-run or youth-guided organization with a current or past affiliation with a System of Care Community of the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children and Their Families Program (i.e., CMHS System of Care grant site)
