Families throughout Oregon supporting other families that have children/adolescents with mental, emotional, behavioral and related disorders

Oregon Family Support Network is a statewide family organization that provides support, referrals and advocacy to families with children who have mental health needs. Since 1991, OFSN has provided support groups and family to family contacts throughout Oregon. OFSN staff, family coordinators and volunteers assist family members as their children navigate through the metal health, school, juvenile justice and other child serving systems. OFSN receives support from federal, state and local organizations and other donors.

Organization role:
• Provide family to family or youth to youth support on an individual family or youth level (e.g., peer-to-peer, family support partners, parent navigators)
• Sponsor/run support groups for families or youth
• Provide education to families or youth on issues of interest
• Provide training and mentoring of family members or youth (e.g., to assume leadership roles, act as provider)
• Provide training and presentations to system of care/child serving agencies or community
• Provide technical assistance (e.g., to other family or youth organizations, child serving agencies)
